Assisting the Interpreter |
| In many proceedings, simultaneous translation is required in order to permit non-English parties to understand all that is taking place during the proceedings. While certified interpreters must, and do, rely upon what is said by the participants as the source of their translation, they nonetheless find it helpful to be able to refer to the realtime monitor in order to confirm what they have heard and to enhance their recall, particularly when dealing with testimony that involves a great deal of numbers. |
Hearing-Impaired Participants |
